Why Rent a Roll-Off Dumpster?
Roll-off dumpsters, open-top dumpsters that fit roll-off trucks for simple loading and unloading, are useful for all kinds of home renovation or commercial projects. They’re typically used to dispose of large quantities of construction waste and landscaping debris, but they’re also great for cleaning up around the house, especially if it’s been years since you’ve organized your garage or shed.
Standard roll-off dumpsters may not be used to dispose of clean dirt, clean concrete, or similar materials. If you need to haul clean dirt (free of contaminants or debris), concrete blocks, brick, driveway pavement, tiles, or similar materials, we offer separate clean concrete and clean dirt dumpsters. These dumpsters are cheaper than standard options because their contents are recyclable and may not be mixed (for example, you will need separate clean concrete dumpsters to dispose of both brick and tile).
Beginning and Ending Your Rental Period
We recommend placing your rental order at least one day prior to your preferred delivery date. Since we can’t guarantee specific drop-off times, it’s a good idea to arrange delivery for the day before your project starts so you can use it right away. The instructions you provide when placing your order will help our Reno providers place your roll-off dumpsters to your liking upon delivery.
Once your rental period reaches its end, please call ASAP Site Services directly. This is the quickest way to get the rentals removed from your home or job site and to stop billing. If you contact another hauler to remove your units, we’ll assume your rental period is ongoing and continue to charge you.
Considerations and Precautions for Reno Rentals
If you’re placing your dumpster on your own private property, you shouldn’t need permission—public property, however, like the street or sidewalk, may require a permit. Contact the City of Reno prior to placing your dumpster rental order to see if you’ll need a permit.
A 4’ x 8’ sheet of plywood will be helpful when placing your dumpster—it can be used to protect contact surfaces, like your yard or driveway. Sprinkler systems may break under the dumpster’s weight, so it’s best to avoid those when placing your rental. ASAP Site Services is not responsible for damage incurred to your driveway, yard, or nearby surfaces.
When it’s time for hauling, be sure that your dumpster is accessible and the top is level. If your dumpster isn’t reachable or the debris is overflowing, a dry run fee will be added to your bill. There will also be additional charges if extra hauling is required or if your tonnage exceeds the quoted weight.
